Jaguar fans, and your Peabody Jaguar dealership, have been eagerly anticipating the 2017 model year. After all, the automaker has been on quite a roll in recent years, redesigning much of their existing lineup and adding new models that are proof positive that the company has rediscovered its mojo. What’s ahead in the coming model year? While the 2017 Jaguar XJ gets only small changes, other models have a bit more going on inside and out.

There’s a lot that’s new in 2017, breaking down into three categories: new Jaguar cars, new power trains and new trim levels.

First, of course, are the new vehicles. The 2017 Jaguar F-PACE both is and isn’t new. It’s new to Jaguar, but it’s been out long enough now to have left an impression with drivers and reviewers alike thanks to its combination of power, panache and practicality. The 2017 Jaguar XE is also all-new and has been awaited for quite some time. A replacement for the long-gone Jaguar X-TYPE, it’s the entry-level model for the brand.

In fact, entry level is a key word of sorts for the automaker in model year 2017. The 2017 Jaguar F-TYPE and 2017 Jaguar XF each introduce new base trims that shed some of the less-essential luxury features to make it a bit easier to buy the Jaguar you’ve always wanted.

Then, of course, there are power trains. Specifically, the Jaguar brand is meeting popular demand for diesel engines. The Jaguar XE, Jaguar XF and Jaguar F-PACE will all add diesel variants, each of which are due late in calendar year 2017.

While we’ve always been fans of Jaguar cars, which should come as no surprise. It’s been especially exciting watching the company evolve over the last few years. The new Jaguar models that have already arrived at Jaguar Peabody and those yet to come to Jaguar dealerships in Massachusetts, are a reminder that the evolution is still ongoing.
