The 2017 Jaguar XE is the long-overdue replacement for the Jaguar X-TYPE. The wait was worth it. The Jaguar XE is a much better car than its predecessor. The styling is sharper, the technology (like Jaguar InControl Apps™) light-years ahead, and the inclusion of AWD is welcome for New England winters. With four trim levels — XE, XE Premium, XE Prestige, and XE-R Sport — paired to trim-specific options and option groups, it has a little something to offer everyone.
It’s no wonder, then, that the press loves the car. Car and Driver awarded the Jaguar XE a coveted Editor’s Choice for its “seductive blend of beauty and performance.” The Road Show blog at CNET took note of the car’s looks, comfort, and agility, calling it “a first generation hit.” Not to be outdone, Edmunds said the Jaguar XE “has the goods to go head to head with the best small luxury sedans available.”
